Our Client is an award-winning provider of innovative technology
systems and services to investment firms in the global institutional, mutual fund,
banking, hedge fund, wealth management, insurance and pension industries.
ROLE
You will be a key player in ensuring that
the company's installed base of customers is optimising their use of the products
especially in the areas of database administration, batch processing, performance
management, upgrading, etc. You will leverage your previous experience in selected
technical areas to troubleshoot problems with, and provide issue resolution for the
Trading and Compliance systems in a wide variety of customer deployments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide telephone and email
technical consultancy to troubleshoot customer issues and answer customer questions
- Provide technical support to assist sales with prospective clients and Implementation
Managers with new clients as it applies to the technical intricacies of each deployment
- Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using the available resources
within the company
- Effectively manage and prioritise your case load
- Visit customers on-site as required, to resolve advanced issues
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- A technical computing degree is preferred. Or, a non-technical degree within
Business Management, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or the like
- Broad
knowledge of n-tier systems architecture
- A background in portfolio
management and trading system applications, is preferred
- Hands on experience
implementing Investment Management software, preferably an Order Management and Compliance
system
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Prior
technical support experience is a plus
- Tenacity to drive issues to
resolution
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
You should have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas commensurate
with your experience level.
Oracle and MS SQL databases including
system administration and performance tuning in at least one of these products
Apache/Tomcat, Websphere and N-tier application architecture
UNIX, Linux,
or MS Server environments.
